The leftovers tell the story

Three division riddles where the remainder is the whole puzzle -- what is left over tells you what you started with.

  1. 1

    One left over every time

Find the smallest number that is divisible by 55 but leaves a remainder of 11 when divided by 22, by 33, and by 44.
  2. 2

    Rebuild the dividend

In a division problem, the divisor is the largest one-digit number and the quotient is the smallest odd three-digit number with all different digits. The remainder is the largest it could possibly be. What is the dividend?
  3. 3

    A short remainder

In a division problem, the divisor is 407407 and the quotient is 128128. The remainder is 202202 less than the divisor. What is the dividend?
